The actor of The Godfather Part II, The Goodfellas, Taxi Driver and Martin Scorsese’s old time partner in crime, Robert De Niro is also a local resident in East Hampton. Video killed the radio star? Apparently not… The mega famous radio star Howard Stern also owns a home in East Hampton. Howard’s home actually looks a bit more decadent than some of his counterparts. It constitutes a 16,000 square foot home on the oceanfront, three acres, eight bedrooms, twelve bathrooms, and a whopping 1500square foot bedroom for himself.
Stern is famous for his explicit radio shows and interviews which challenged the boundaries of the FCC and to what was appropriate to air to the public. Bold and racy moves by Stern landed him in a lot of trouble with the FCC, and eventually landed him with a lot of money, and a characteristically shocking- beautiful home in the Hamptons.
